Showbiz411's Roger Friedman reports exclusively that Barbra Streisand attended a reading this past week in Hollywood for a new script that may turn into her next directing venture. The film is a yet-to-be titled loved story which follows the relationship between photographer Margaret Bourke White and writer Erskine Caldwell.
The project has thus far had a "long painful history," but with a new
script, Friedman reports there is renewed hope that it will finally get
off the ground. The film would mark Streisand's first return to helming
a motion picture since 1996's The Mirror Has Two Faces, in which she
starred opposite Jeff Bridges.
